Morgano

Knitwear manufacturer. Founded in 1969 by Giovanni Bessegato in Badoere di Morgano in the Italian province of Treviso, the company specialises in the production of men’s and women’s knitwear, made from merino wool, and dyed once assembled. In the 1980s Bessegato’s sons, Alessandro and Andrea, joined the firm. A line of children’s clothing was launched, and meanwhile cashmere became a staple of the menswear and womenswear ranges. More than a million items are produced every year for the three ranges, Morgano, Morgano Junior and Lineamidas. 25% of production is bought by the Italian market, the remainder being distributed in North and South America, Europe, Australia, and the Far East. The company employs 84 staff and yearly sales average around 18 million euros.
