Molenaar

Frans (1941). Dutch tailor, the most famous in Amsterdam, so much so that in December 1986 the Municipal Museum of The Hague dedicated a monographic exhibition to his work. As well as haute couture collections, he created prêt-à-porter for men (he designed the Herzberger, Muller, and Kollem lines) and women (Jasmin’s, Milo, Pisa, Van Schuppen). He studied at the Technical School of Fashion and Clothing in Amsterdam and attended the famous Rundschaueursus in Munich-Gladbach. He began working with the only Dutch couturier established in Paris, Charles Montaigne, and at the beginning of the 1960s he collaborated with Nina Ricci and Guy Laroche. He opened his own fashion house in 1967.
