Moda

Monthly magazine on fashion and “everything about costume, performance, culture,” as described by the subtitle, an important feature of the publication set up by Flavio Lucchini in 1983 and edited by Vittorio Corona until the early 1990s. It is published by Nuova Eri, which is owned by the RAI. The new magazine, launched with a great fanfare of publicity, attracted strong interest. Aimed at a young and emancipated female readership, it gained popularity for its style of graphics, its strong use of photography, and its ability to pinpoint themes that were of interest to new generations. The fortunes of the magazine began to decline at the end of the 1980s, mainly due to editorial problems. For a while, the magazine was trapped in a crisis of concept and readership, which led to a lengthy dispute between editors and publisher. In 1993 Nuova Eri gave up the magazine, which closed shortly afterwards.
