Moda Parma

Event launched in 1956 to promote the producers of furs, clothing, knitwear, and buttons based in the area around Parma. The idea was initiated by the Chamber of Commerce, which organized the event with Maria Pezzi, Alberto Lattuada and Beppe Modenese. Each year 25 industrialists were selected and presented with suggestions for the next fashionable colors (a table of three colors) and lines. The individuals in charge of the event oversaw, step by step, the collections created for the three days of runway shows, which were held in historic and artistic sites in Parma. The event lasted for about a decade.
