Giuseppe (1907-1982). Swiss designer, famous for being the creator of many collections for Chanel. He was born at Locarno. After a period in London in order to learn English, he moved to Paris where he worked for the haute couture house Premet. In 1934 he returned to Great Britain and opened his own atelier, making both haute couture and ready-made garments. In 1955, he abandoned haute couture, creating ready-made collections until the early 1970s, notable mainly for his imaginative cocktail and theater gowns.
