MARION MOREHOUSE (1906-1969) WAS AN AMERICAN MODEL

Marion Morehouse was an American model. Significantly, she worked between the 1920s and 1930s, the years of the Garµonne style. Top models, at that time, were called flying mannequins. She was discovered by the photographer Steichen. Notably, she was often engaged by  Horst and Hoyningen-Huene. Her success was such as to ennoble the profession and halo the models with divism. Uniquely, known for her slender and tall body corresponded exactly to the canons of elegance of that period.
