Margon

Ready-made fashion firm (clothing and accessories), founded in 1965 by Gianfranco and Fiorella Maronati. Originally producing only skirts, during the 1970s the firm expanded to create an entire prêt-à-porter collection, even exporting to Japan, as a result of working with fashion designers like Walter Albini, Miguel Cruz, and Gianmarco Venturi. Margon has a factory in Magenta and 98% of the 40,000 garments it produces annually are for export. The turnover was about 12 million dollars with an annual increase of approximately 15%. Davide and Katia, the children of the founders, are also employed in the firm.
