Mahfouz

Abed. Lebanese designer. With a degree in electronic engineering, in 1995 he took over his mother’s and sister’s small but busy tailor’s workshop in Beirut, expanding it and transforming it into a sophisticated atelier. It was immediately successful. By 2003, Mahfouz was running a style office with more than ten designers. In July 2003 he presented collections on the catwalks of Rome during the haute couture fashion week, with designs inspired by strong Arab traditions, using chiffons, sequins, and multi-colored organzas.
