Lord and Taylor

Chain of American department stores acquired by the group May Department Stores Co. in 1986. Their foundation dates back to 1826 (America’s oldest store), when Samuel Lord and George W. Taylor opened their first drugstore in New York. This became a point of reference for the New York fashion world, specially in the years that Dorothy Shaver was the company’s president (1949-59). In constant expansion, it now has 62 sales points in 17 states.
