Linificio e Canapaficio Castellini

This company was founded in 1850 in Paderno Dugnano, near Milan. It manufactured jute bags for the Italian Postal Service and the cloths used to cover deckchairs on the beach, including that of the Hotel Excelsior in Venice. Later, with the support of an industrial plant in the Varese area, it started manufacturing linen, hemp, jute articles, even bedsheets and house linen. In 1997 Emanuele Castellini, the company’s owner and general manager, entered into an association with his cousin Piero Castellini, an architect and man of refined taste, to open C&C, a sophisticated boutique in Via della Spiga in Milan. Combining their professional worlds and passions, they have created a sort of atelier for the house: from garden furniture to cashmere, linen and silk fabrics for interior décor, unisex pyjamas, night robes, slippers and accessories. C&C’s offerings are also on sale in exclusive stores in Turin, Portofino, London, Paris, and Monaco.
