Lardini

Company producing classic clothing for men and women. Established in 1978 by the Lardini brothers in Filottrano, Marche, it has 200 workers. The original production (jackets, coats and trousers) was exclusively for men. The first Lardini collection was held in 1993. The cut was inspired by Italian tailoring traditions and is enriched by the use of cashmere, mixes of wools and cashmere, camelhair, alpaca, and lama. It purchases raw materials from the most refined wool producers: Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Carlo Barbera, Cerruti, the English Hield Brothers, Alexanders of Scotland, Jerome Fabrics, Martin and Sons, Johnstons, and Robert Noble. Cottons are submitted to finishing procedures to give them a worn look. Pretty much at the same time as the début of the company’s first women’s collection (Fall-Winter 2003-2004), Lardini opened a showroom in Via della Spiga, Milan.
