Jumper

Jersey dropping down to the hips with a loose line and straight cut. They are often V-shaped and low-necked, worn with a mid-length, pleated skirt. This outfit was launched by Chanel in the 1920s, but it is continuously re-proposed. The jumper, in its sport version, was the typical garment of mariners and fishermen to protect them from the cold. In the late 1800s, jumpers were named sweaters initially in England and then in the rest of Europe and the USA, used in sport and leisure time.
