Jones

Terry (1945). British graphic designer. After graduating in 1966 in graphics from the West of England Art College and working as a freelance, he was appointed artistic director of Vogue at the age of 27, where he remained until 1978. His technique, condensed in the book Not Another Punk, can be considered linked to the faraway dadaism and to the closer punk movement. His style uses very different techniques from collage to photocopying. He is the theorist of the design that is defined in Italy as di getto (instantaneous), and which he himself defined as ‘instantaneous, automatic’ in the title of the volume Instant Design. A Manual of Graphic Design, published in 1990.
