Jacques Pinturier (1932) is a French milliner

Jacques Pinturier (c. 1930). French milliner. He learned the trade and its techniques from his uncle Gilbert Orcel, a designer and famous milliner in the postwar period. He stayed in the company from 1949 to 1963, then moved on to manage the hat department at the design studio of Antonio Canovas del Castillo. He opened his own atelier in 1968, working for private clients and for the runway shows of big fashion houses. He had a taste for experimenting with unusual materials for hats, such as aluminum.
