Giannico, the footwear brand founded by the enfant prodige Nicolò Beretta
Defined by Forbes as the enfant prodige of footwear, the young Nicolò Beretta, born in Milan in 1995, founded the Giannico footwear brand at the age of only seventeen.
The approval received by his legend Manolo Blahnik, the famous designer who inspired Nicolò Beretta, and by Franca Sozzani, the victory in the “Who is on Next” competition in 2015, express the strength of his talent. Celebrities and influencers love his shoes, colourful and whimsical, his famous mules with sparkling buckles go around the world. The following year, 2016, is a year of continuous success and recognition, the collaboration with Rossella Jardini and with Wunderkind. Forbes placed him among the ten best fashion start-ups of the year. Giannico shoes are everywhere, and have become an emblem of made in Italy elegance, quality and craftsmanship. The production is in fact entrusted, starting from the SS18 collection, to Roveda, a company from Parabiago purchased in 2000 by the Chanel group.
Furthermore, since 2018 Nicolò Beretta has been the creative director of the L’Autre chose brand, where he also dealt with ready-to-wear, bags and small leather goods. The following year, with the aim of consolidating the strategic and production synergies of the two brands, L’Autre Chose, a company controlled by the Sator fund, got its hands on Giannico announcing the acquisition of 100% of ADN Srl, a company owned by the brand founded by Nicolò Beretta.
