Erès

French brand of bathing suits. Created in the mid 1960s by Irene Leroux, its success has steadily increased thanks to spontaneous testimonials from stars of show business and fashion who prefer Erès products because of their cut, quality manufacture, palette of colors, choice of fabrics (long-lasting treated cottons), and lack of attention that the designer gives to sensationalism. In 1997, Chanel acquired 100% of the company, but left total autonomy in the hands of the founder, who in 1998 launched an underwear line in muslin and taffeta.
The approach taken to the American market is supported by the opening of two single-brand stores, one on Madison Avenue in New York, and one in Palm Beach.
Erès bathing suits are featured in the fourth edition of Vogue Takes the Hampton’s Celebration, a promotional event organized in East Hampton by Vogue America.
