Guy. French designer. He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts and then became interested in fashion. In 1955, he worked for Chanel, and then moved to New York to work for a manufacturing company, and for Dior. Later, he was in Rome at Tiziani and Antonelli, and then back to France at Maggy Rouff. In 1972, in Paris, he was put in charge of the Guy Laroche prêt-à-porter. Starting in 1974 he directed the Laroche design studio and designed the Guy Laroche Diffusion and Guy Laroche Boutique Collections. He died in September 1993, and his position was taken by his assistant Jean-Pierre Marty.
