THE CREATION OF THE BRAND

Dondup is a brand born in 1999 from an idea of the Berloni family in Fossombrone in the Marche region, where Arcadia srl is based. Massimo Berloni and Manuela Mariotti are the founders and dedicated years to denim. Starting from jeans to arrive to a total look for women, men and children with a romantically “rocker” style.

Denim has always been at the heart of the offer thanks to an original focus on fit because for Dondup denim is not a simple canvas, but a real vocation oriented towards the consumer, sustainability, quality and style.

2010

International private equity fund L Catterton chose to invest in the brand. Thus an exciting growth path started aimed at bringing the excellence and creativity of Dondup garments to the international market.

2016

To crown the successes achieved, Dondup opened its first flagship store in Via della Spiga 50 in Milan – in the heart of the Quadrilatero della Moda. The brand officially became one of the most internationally recognized fashion names.

Today

the brand became part of the LVMH Group.

I JEAN MUSIC HERO

The goal in the creation of the collections was to create jeans that fit the Mediterranean women, also through the trick of lowering the pockets. As a result, was the Music Hero, the perfect archetype that remains the brand’s best seller to this day. The washes, carried out using the enzymes of champagne, the spices, the denim and cashmere combination born four seasons ago characterize the Dondup brand. Significantly, the extension to a total look was natural, keeping faith with that disenchanted, modern style but with visibly handcrafted details. Success of the women’s collection has been replicated, almost by osmosis, on the men’s line born in 2006 with the same connotations and on the very young children’s / jeans line.
