Dirndl

Traditional costume from the Tyrol. Originally a basic garment of local dress, it became, over the years, once it transcended the narrow confines of yodels and alpine lake metaphors, an essential item (both in country versions and elegant romantic versions) for all ladies with a Nordic taste and frame of mind. After its first 40 years as a hot fashion item, it has remained popular with the ladies of Salzburg and the Milanese ladies in Saint Moritz and Celerina.
