German group that is a leader in specialized publishing. It has 95 publications, with headquarters in Frankfurt. It ended 2001 with a turnover of €133.5 million (€107.2 million in Germany against €26.3 million abroad). In 2002, for the first time, business came to a standstill, due to the general economic crisis. But the problems were contained, with a loss of only 5.1% compared to the general trend for German advertising which showed a loss of 15.9% for the sector. Among its subsidiaries showing an upward trend were the titles published by Ecomarket, chief among them Fashion, with an increase of 15%, equal to €4.6 million, and Manstein-Verlag in Austria, with an increase of €21.1%, equal to €9.2 million. The results of TextilWirtschaft, a weekly covering textiles and clothing, were not so good, ending 2001 with €20.3 million compared to €23.2 million in 2000.
