Desmo

Italian leather goods company. It was established in 1975 by Mario Fantappié in San Donato in Fronzano (Florence). It offers coordinated lines of bags, shoes, belts, and accessories with a strong design content. The company, which exports 75% of its production, has important single-brand stores in Italy and Japan.
The expansion of the sales network continues. After openings during the last two years in Milan, Florence, St. Bart’s, and Taiwan, a shop opens in Forte dei Marmi.
The Desmo line, split equally between the U.S., Europe, and the Far East, ends the year with a turnover of about €10 million, a slight increase over the previous year.
A new store in Tokyo, in the New Ginza neighborhood. The space is opened with Bluebell, Desmo’s partner in Japan, and completes Desmo’s presence in that country: a kiosk at Isetan and single-brand boutiques in Osaka and Nagoya.
