Robert (1961). American designer, specialized in evening clothes. He started by designing men’s lines. A graduate of Yale, he moved to New York in 1989 and, in a Chinatown basement, designed his first women’s Collection. He presented his clothes for the first time in 1993, enjoying excellent success that allowed him to open a showroom in Soho. His clothes, which enchant Hollywood divas, are characterized by precious fabrics (chiffon, satin, silk) combined with geometric patterns inspired by art and contemporary architecture. His Collection for Winter 1999 evoked the sculpture of Richard Serra and the architecture of Frank Gehry.
