Cifonelli

Arturo Cifonelli (1893-1971). Very trendy men’s tailor in Rome during the 1960s. He dressed the international playboy Porfirio Rubirosa. His jackets were famous for their loose shoulder line. He opened his first atelier in 1912, together with his father, on via Quintino Sella in Rome. At the end of the 1920s, he moved to Paris. In 1939 he was joined in the profession by his son Adriano, who took over the business at his father’s death.
