Centro Design Montefibre
This was the first Italian institute for research and forecasting concerning the use of textiles in fashion and in the home. It was active from 1970 to 1985. Every six months it supplied firms in the textile and clothing sector with an analysis of future trends, broken down by colors, threads, fabric patterns, and lines. It promoted meetings, shows, and refresher courses about important issues concerning the Made in Italy movement that, in those years particularly, was developing its industrial dimension. Benefiting from the outside advice of Elio Fiorucci, Popi Moreni, Bé Khan, and other international designers, the Center was coordinated by Ampelio Bucci, Donatella Cerri, Ornella Bignami, Rita Spaggiati, Orlando Lobracciuto, and Nancy Martin.
