Frédéric (1929). French designer. In 1953, he was hired at Dior where, after four years of work, he began to design the Dior London Collection. He did it so well that he was awarded first prize by the School of the Chambre Syndicale de la Confection et de la Couture of Paris, the city in which he lived. In 1973 he designed a prêt-à-porter line. In 1988 he quit Dior in order to open his own maison.
