Carlo Pignatelli (1944) is an Italian designer of Brindisi origin

Carlo Pignatelli has been active in Turin since 1966, known above all for wedding and formal wear. After starting his apprenticeship at the age of just fourteen in the workshops of his city, he moved to the Savoyard capital. Here he refined his style and inaugurated, in 1973, the atelier that bears his name. In 1990 he signed a partnership with the Japanese Marubeni Corporation, which led the brand to open its first showroom abroad in Tokyo. Three years later, in 1993, Carlo Pignatelli landed on the catwalks of Milano Collezioni Uomo which was followed by the granting of numerous licenses: footwear, ties, underwear and accessories.

In 1995 was introduced the Boutique line

In 1995 was introduced the Boutique line and were launched the bridal collections : Couture and Fiorinda by Carlo Pignatelli (later renamed “Fiorinda le spose di Carlo Pignatelli”). In 2000 the Classico line was born. One year later it was the turn of the Outside collection for men and Prêt-à-Porter for women. Among the most recent milestones of the brand, the introduction in 2004 of the Junior and Outside Women’s lines, the license for wedding rings in 2006 and the Home Collection in 2007.
