BILLY BALLO

Billy Ballo is a shop in Santa Margherita Ligure specialized in the sale of luxury clothing

The Billy Ballo shop in Santa Margherita Ligure was born in 1957 with the Balbi family. It went down in history for being a retailer of major luxury brands like Missoni, Valentino, Aspesi, Piazza Sempione. In 1963 Ileana Pareto Spinola started collaborating with the shop. Boutique director and purchasing manager, she focused on Livio de Simone and the Falconetto, designed by Ken Scott. Together with Giorgio Balbi, he created the Billy Ballo line and entrusted the style management to the stylist Walter Albini who chose Emilia Vincenzini for the debut of the collection.

When the owner died, the shop was taken over by Ortensia Sanguineti, who sold the business to the Ciocca family of Brescia. The Ciocca brand was born in 1920 as a manufacturer of socks. Among the many brands with which Ciocca has collaborated, there is also Dolce & Gabbana. Over time it has specialized in cashmere by acquiring Druhmor and producing on its own with the Rosso Puro brand.
