BIFFI IS A HISTORIC MILANESE CLOTHING AND FASHION ACCESSORIES STORE

It was the sixties when the Biffi sisters, Rosy and Adele, assisted by Rosy’s husband, Franco Limonta, inaugurated two truly innovative boutiques for the time in two of the most refined streets in the city center (Corso Genova and Via Fabio Filzi). The young entrepreneurs, even if they do not have commercial traditions in fashion, immediately demonstrated the stuff of great maîtrees of style. They invest much of their energy in promoting still little-known designers. In fact, they are the first to offer in Italy the French designer Kenzo and the accessories of a rookie Ferré (the same happens later with Yohji Yamamoto , Clements Ribeiro, Antonio Berardi, Mary Katrantzou and many others).

Towards the end of the Sixties, an unexpected trip to London sanctions the entry into boutiques of international brands that bring a new and extremely creative wind to clothing proposals. From that moment on, the name Biffi became synonymous with refined elegance and careful stylistic research; a point of reference for whimsical journalists and wealthy offspring of Milano bene.

Biffi, the online shop

In 1970 Biffi consolidated its presence in Lombardy. Through the opening of a new store in the center of Bergamo, in Via Tiraboschi; an essential space. Significantly, renovated by architect Oliviero Baldini – dominated by the white color of the walls and the mother of pearl of the floor (over the years the shops become two, clothing for men and women in Via Tiraboschi 36 and accessories for men and women at 32).

It was 1993 when, in via Sant’Andrea 8, in the heart of the Milanese fashion district, Banner (designed by architect Gae Aulenti) was inaugurated, the Biffi store in which the research and selection of designers is brought to its maximum creative expression.

THE 2000S

In 2004, a new space dedicated to men’s sportswear arrives in Corso Genova 6. The store is dedicated to an audience dedicated to casual and informal clothing (also the latter by the architect Oliviero Baldini).

At Spaziogenova, a temporary showroom is inaugurated in Corso Genova 7, where creativity, art and design meet. The internal organization of the spaces is divided into areas used for the display of fashion products or areas dedicated to art and design exhibitions.

Furthermore, Biffi is also present in Bergamo with BIFFI BOUTIQUES and BIFFI BOUTIQUES ACCESSORIES, in via Tiraboschi. Among the brands present in boutiques and online e-commerce, Bottega Veneta, Alexander McQueen, Emilio Pucci , Scervino , Fendi , Gucci , Lanvin , Moncler and Tod’s . Emerging brands such as MSGM and GCDS are also on sale .
