Bidermann

Bidermann was a multinational manufacturing company. Established in France by Maurice Bidermann in 1950, it gradually began to specialize in men’s wear. It manufactures for Klein, Hechter, Courrèges, Kenzo and Saint-Laurent, and owns the brands Daniel Crémieux and Bill Robinson. Since 1973 it has had an American subsidiary, Bidermann Industries, which in 1990 gained control of Cluett Peabody, the producer of Arrow shirts and Gold Toe socks that, in terms of global turnover, has the leading share, with more than 70%. In men’s manufacturing, the group is a leader in France and ranks 11th in the world. It employs altogether almost 9,000 people.
