Béranger

Dan Béranger (1945) was a french designer. He studied at the school of the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture of Paris, but Germany was his proving ground. A few years later he returned to Paris and worked on a new prêt-à-porter line called Emesse. In 1974, he presented his first Collections which, manufactured in Italy, carried his name. Like many others in those years, his customer was the working woman who didn’t want to give up her feminine elegance. He was successful. He designed the costumes for Emmanuelle, though the movie was more about nudity than about clothes. Nevertheless, his work on the film gave a boost to his reputation.
