AVEDA

Aveda was founded in 1978 in Blaine, Minnesota with the aim of providing high-yielding, botanically-derived products that have beneficial effects for both customers and the environment. It produces products for hair, skin care and makeup made with natural products.

THE ENVIRONMENTAL PURPOSE OF AVEDA

Aveda is the first beauty company that, with great environmental commitment, uses 100% wind energy for its production. Aveda’s main purpose in product packaging is to reduce the use of non-eco-sustainable materials. It also wants to introduce post-consumer recycled materials as much as possible.

Each product is carefully studied with the aim of minimizing the use of labels and leaflets, so much so that in recent years the suppliers of this American company have increased the contents of post-consumer recycled materials in their bottles up to 80%, an unprecedented result. The company, always committed to environmental support, had the original idea to offer jars for creams that can be filled every time the customer has consumed the initial content.

There are 7,000 hairdressing salons and beauty centres offering professional services in more than 20 countries that share the Aveda mission.
