ADAMS, BRYAN

BRYAN ADAMS (1959), CANADIAN SINGER-WRITER, MUSICIAN, PHOTOGRAPHER AND ACTIVIST 

 

Born in Kingstone, Canada in 1959, Bryan Adams began his career as a singer in 1980 by releasing his first album entitled “Brian Adams”. The real boom, however, arrived in 1993 when he released his first collection So far So good, which contained the still unreleased single Please forgive me, a song that allowed him to climb the hits all over the world. Known mostly as a singer, he arrived in the fashion world as a photographer. In fact, photography is his second passion after music. Over the years he has collaborated with international magazines such as Interview, Vanity Fair andHarper’s Bazaar and with the Italian edition of the monthly magazine Max.

In 2005 he received the Golden Camera in Berlin. He worked with stars of the caliber of Gwyneth Paltrow and Cindy Crawford, and he even photographed Queen Elizabeth II in 2006. On the 16th of September 2015 he received the Honorary Fellowship from the Royal Photographic Society in London.

Brian Adams is also known in Italy as an internationally renowned photographer. He also signed numerous advertising campaigns such as the one in 2007 for the Hybris maison with Eva Riccobono. He also shot advertising campaigns for  GuessHugo BossErmenegildo ZegnaConverseMontblancJohn RichmondFred Perry, and Escada.

In his publication American Women, among the photographed women there are Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Hillary Clinton, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Aniston, Cindy Crawford, Tina Turner and Joss Stone, to name a few.

In the summer of 2021, he was the photographer for the 48th edition of the Pirelli Calendar.
