Manuel

Henri (1874-1947). French photographer, who began working in the fashion sector in 1905, initially for Worth. Up until 1939 he collaborated with Vogue, Les Elégances de Paris, Le Miroir de Modes, Monsieur, La Femme de France, Les Modes, and The Ladies Field. The anti-Semitism that pervaded France immediately following Nazi occupation forced him to abandon his work. As a consequence 300,000 fashion plates were lost.
