Veronesi

Italian jeweler. It has existed for over a century. In 1896, Giulio Veronesi opened his first shop in Bologna in the Via Orefici. In 1920 he moved to the Palazzo Ronzani and, shortly thereafter, he handed over the business to his two older sons, Raffaello and Galileo. The jeweler’s attained considerable renown in the late 1940s. In 1964, their Gemini ring received the Diamonds International Award in New York as the finest piece of jewelry of the year. In the 1970s, the family opened a second shop in Bologna and the Galleria in Cortina, where auctions of international importance were frequently held. Currently, the Veronesi jewelry company owns a private collection of jewelry that once belonged to the Duchess of Windsor, Greta Garbo, and Andy Warhol. It continues its production to exclusive designs of one-off items, unique in terms of style and gem quality, all of the stones being of extreme perfection, from the diamonds and rubies to the yellow or pink sapphires.
