Footwear manufacturer. Founded in Bologna in 1929, it produced only shoes for men. It then expanded its line of product to include women’s footwear and luxury leather goods, with systems still based on the old artisanal approach. The company is family-owned and -run. Guiding the company is the third generation: the daughter of the founder Amedeo Testoni, Marisa, with her husband Enzo Fini. The company, which boasts an elite clientele, has a showroom in Via Montenapoleone in Milan, another in Via Condotti in Rome and 50 single-label boutiques.
2000, October. The Bologna-based footwear manufacturer acquired 30 percent of Futurnet, a Padua-based company, under the leadership of Stefano Martinetto, which holds the Puma license for the Puma Black Station Collection (Nuala and Platinum lines). Futurnet, founded in 1998 as a importing company for the labels Evisu and Fake London, achieved a 2001 turnover of 11 million Euros.
2002, June. Futurnet signed a five-year licensing agreement with the German company Puma for the production and worldwide distribution of a new line of casual apparel.
