Tessilstrona

A Piedmontese woolen mill founded in 1966 in Cossato, in the province of Biella, by Francesco Mello Rella in partnership with his brother-in-law Franco Grosso. The company’s plants are capable of implementing the entire manufacturing cycle: from the purchase of the wools, directly in Australia, to their transformation in the internal spinning, warping, weaving, and finishing departments. With its 150 employees, it produces approximately 25,000 square meters of fine patterned fabrics in pure virgin wool and fine fibers. The turnover is between 20 and 30 billion liras. It exports roughly 60 percent of the product, especially in Canada, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, China and the United States. Also involved in running the company are the founder’s children, Corrado, Grazia and Maurizio.
