Tang

David Tang (1954). A Chinese creative, a fashion designer who reinvented outfits and lifestyles of the most nostalgic and kitsch Shanghai, the Shanghai before Mao Tse-tung, still colonial in its atmospheres. Thus, the old city lives again in the creations of Tang (who in the meantime has been designing boutiques in London and New York): the red glass lanterns inspired by the library of the China Club to the outfits for a Nympha Egeria called Gong Li. Elegant products intended for wealthy Asians but designed with an eye to the western markets as well.
