Starkey

Hannah (1971). British photographer born in Belfast. She studied photography at Napier University in Edinburgh and at the Royal College of Art in London, where she graduated in 1997. Her style, like so many young British creators, reflects a strong artistic background, thanks to which she has established herself with surprising speed, in 1998 winning the John Kobal Portrait, and The Sunday Times and Condé Nast prizes. This enabled her to publish a ten-page feature in Vogue Hommes International on her research into a night-club in London. Taking reportage as a starting point, her interpretation goes beyond reality, imbuing it with a subliminal quality. Her photographs are held in some public collections.
