In 1981, after a period spend with Vogue in the US, he returned to Milan to take over as deputy editor for the new monthly magazine Mondo Uomo, becoming editor in 1983. In 1988, he moves to Maenner Vogue in Germany, first as a special correspondent, then as fashion editor. In 1991, he was summoned to the fashion company Etro to look after its image and PR. In 1993, he was made editor of Donna, but after a few months he accepted Condé Nast’s offer to return to Germany and transform Maenner Vogue into the Italian edition of GQ. He remained editor of this title until 1998, when he took over Amica with co-editor Giusi Ferré. Both left in 2002 and the reins were passed to Luisa Rodotà, with Emanuela Testori taking over the fashion pages.
