Rubin Chapelle

Rubin Chapelle, ready-to-wear brand created by Sonja Rubin and Kid Chapelle

A ready-to-wear brand created by Sonja Rubin (1971) from Austria and Kid (1970) from Ohio, Rubin Chapelle. They met at the Fashion Institute of Technology and decided to combine their creativity in 1995. They had both already worked for other designers from whom they had discovered a taste for minimalism but wanted to personalise it.

Kid, an ex-engineer, considers his clothes to be constructions, using visible seams, strong colours and geometric T-shirts. Sonja has a lot of imagination. Together they like to dress free-spirited, unconventional and slightly extravagant women. They have already conquered the American department stores.
