Rimbotti

Rimbotti

Vittorio Emanuele Rimbotti (1920-2001): Engineer and entrepreneur

Rimbotti has been president of the Florence Centre for Italian Fashion since 1989. His impulse at the head of the CFMI was expressed above all in the definition of agreements for the management of fashion events in Milan and Florence and in the promotion of important international initiatives in the field of culture and research relating to fashion and trade fair activities in the sector. In particular, his support for the study and realisation of the Florence Biennale project was decisive.

In October 2001, he died almost on the eve of the first meeting of the Intesa Moda Council, a control and collaboration body for which he had fought, and which marked the end of the diatribes between Florence and Milan.
