Premonville

(de) Myrene (1949). French designer. She has fashion in her blood because of her mother, a house model who often worked for Fath. Her fashion debut was precocious, she was just four when she appeared on the cover of Elle with her mother. She started out at Promostyle working as Popi Moreni’s assistant, then worked for Fiorucci and Hermès, and set up her own business in partnership with Gilles Dewavrin in 1983. Three years later she closed the business and went on to produce collections under her own label, several of which took art as their inspiration (including Russian Constructivism for Fall-Winter 1991-92). She pays great attention to detail and her clothes are known for their femininity. She was one of the first people to design pants with stirrups. She has been showing her collections in Paris since 1990-91 and she opened two own-brand boutiques there in 1999.
