Pompea

Underwear and hosiery company. The business was founded by Adriano Rodella in Medole (Mantua) in 1996. It became an industrial holding company in 2001, and developed into a market leader for hosiery and women’s, men’s and children’s underwear in Italy and other European countries, particularly Spain. In 2002 the company’s turnover was 172 million euros. Pompea has 450 employees in Italy and 435 abroad. In December 2002 it acquired the Roberta brand from the Ladyberg Group. Given the seasonal and fluctuating nature of the hosiery market, Pompea expanded into underwear, which now represents 30% of its turnover. Its hosiery and underwear is made from soft microfiber, produced using advanced circular weaving technology that guarantees maximum comfort and practicality. The simple seamless T-“shirts, vests, panties, and shorts come in black-and-white, but also turquoise, coral, apple green, and batik prints. One of its latest launches was the Barbie range, for 3 to 5 year old girls.
