21 January 2014
Perret Dorothée (1972). French designer. Born in Lyons. Straight after her diploma at Studio Berµot in Paris she started working with Martine Sitbon and Guy Laroche. She launched her first womenswear collection for Fall-Winter 1998-99, which found coverage and praise in the trend magazine Spoon.
Her work was immediately noticed (and bought) by stores like Onward in Paris, Purple in Tokyo, and Penelope in Brescia. A year later she founded the company bearing her name and distributed her clothes around the world. At present 80% of her production is sold outside of France. Every garment she creates is unique, made with handpainted and numbered fabrics.
