Pellat-Finet
Pellat-Finet, Lucien is French designer, called the king of cashmere. As a boy he was struck by the vision of a sweater in a boutique in the South of France. In 1994 he designed and launched his first collection of luxury streetwear, and two years later came his men’s collection. In 1997 he showed in Paris for the first time, and his clothes were sold in the Parisian concept store Colette, the event which “made” him. In 1998 he designed a children’s cashmere range and opened a boutique in Saint-Germain. He was courted by the American market and his clothes are sold at Barney’s New York. In 2001 he initiated contacts with Japan which led to collaborations with architects and artists like Takashi Murakami, and the opening of a store in Aoyama, the most fashionable area of Tokyo. In 2003 he launched a range of jeans colored with organic dyes.
