Paulette

Parisian hat company founded in 1929 by Pauline Adam Marchand: its success lasted nearly half a century. Her famous draped turban, created during the war, always featured in her collections. Paulette gained international fame through cinema and theater. Audrey Hepburn wore her hats in My Fair Lady. She opened branches in London, New York, and Buenos Aires. The jet set’s preferred milliner, she also worked for Piguet, Chanel, Féraud, Mori, Scherrer, Ungaro, and the then up-and-coming Montana and Mugler. She was head of the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode from 1957 to 1961. She received the Légion d’Honneur in 1974 and died in 1984.
