Pareto Spinola

Ileana (1935). Fashion manager. In 1963 she started working for the exclusive boutique Billy Ballo in Santa Margherita Ligure. As manager and buyer, she focused on Livio de Simone and Falconetto, designed by Ken Scott. She created the Billy Ballo range with the owner Giorgio Balbi, putting Walter Albini in charge of the design. The collection was well-received at Samia di Torino and, in 1965,on the Pitti runway in Florence. In 1967 she became involved in the organization of Mare Moda Capri with Anne Sophia Benazzo. From 1968 to 1987 she was an agent for Ter et Bantine, Chantal Thomas, and Kansai Yamamoto. In 1969 she set up Assomoda (an association of the main representatives of the fashion industry) with Roberto Manoelli and others, and Milanovendemoda, the first international ready-to-wear exhibition held in Milan. She is currently working with Promozione Moda Italia (an organization that brings together Efima and Expo Cts), looking after relationships with existing exhibitors and looking for new ones. She is also one of Gianfranco Ferré’s talent scouts.
