Outrage

Italian ready-to-wear label, founded in 1983 by the journalist Sergio Vismara and his wife Ornella Benedetta. The label, named after a famous American boat, first became known for its sweatshirts, making them for the America’s Cup in the 1980s. They later expanded their range to include urban sportswear and other sports items. Fabric research has played a central role in the company, particularly for their range of waterproof garments. In May 1999, Outrage was bought by Tomasoni Topsail, present for the last 25 years on the Italian and European markets and also owner of the Henry Lloyd label.
&Quad;Tomasoni has begun a range of skiwear.
&Quad;Outrage is one of the strongest of Tomasoni’s five labels, giving the best results, with North Sails. In 2001, Outrage brought in 20% of the group’s total income.
