Milanese ethnic and antique jewelry shop. Founded in 1995 by Giovanna Frossi, who had worked at the Milanese Jewelry mecca “Il Discanto” for thirty years, under the direction of Rosanna Giancola. Frossi has been assembling an impressive collection of necklaces, rings, and bracelets since 1968 as a result of various trips to India, Morocco, South America, and Thailand, attracting a discerning clientele to her shop in Via San Fermo. The jewelry is presented with flair and experience by Frossi, and comes with a certificate guaranteeing its authenticity. Continual trips abroad, and work with important museums like Geneva’s Barbier-Mueller Museum, have brought new discoveries. Her collection has gradually has expanded to include clothing — mainly kimonos and accessories from the Far East — 19th century Asian jewelry, a fine selection of Victorian and traditional Mediterranean pieces, including coral jewelry, tortoiseshell ornaments and miniature mosaics. She has done some memorable work with designers like Romeo Gigli.
