Oriani

Mario Oriani (1926). Journalist, and editor. He began his career as a sports writer for Il Corriere della Sera and Il Corriere dell’Informazione. Il Corriere’s publishing group appointed him as editor of Amica from 1972 to 1974, from where he moved on to become editor of La Domenica del Corriere, but he only lasted a year there. In 1975, together with Renato Minetto, he founded a publishing company called Segesta Eight, and brought out Abitare magazine. Later he founded another publishing company called Portoria, which specializes in nautical, sport, travel, and tourism magazines.
